Well first off it’s tradition and the Petrulo’s like traditions, maybe not as much as our friends the Webb’s, but we’ve been known for a tradition or two. Like the Turducken on Christmas Day or my brother Larry’s favorite birthday meal of ham and corn.

Baby Peter is the fourth generation of Peter’s in the Petrulo family. Most people assume I was named after my Dad, well kinda but it was actually my grandpa. Here’s where people get confused, so follow closely.

1 – Peter Anthony – The original and my grandpa aka Pa. Born 1928.

2 – Peter Lawrence – My Dad, Born 1957.

3 – Peter Anthony – That’s me, the best golfer in the series. Born 1981.

4 – Peter Lawrence – My Son, born 2010. I predict a Green Jacket in 2029. Maybe sooner if wins the US Amateur and earns exemption anytime between 2027-2028.

So as you can see the tradition is to name your first son after your Dad. So if all goes as planned Baby Peter will name his son after me, and I mean who wouldn’t? Still following? Good.

To confuse people even further, my family started calling me Tony when I was just a little guy, after all my middle name is Anthony so I guess that kinda makes sense. Some of them still do, but for the most part I go by Peter these days in honor of my grandpa.
