Everything is going well. I went back to work this week so Vanessa has been doing all the hard work with Little Peter. It was tough leaving him, but at least Vanessa emails me a few photos of him through out the day.
We’ve had lots of help from the Grandma’s so that’s been nice. I think my Mom went 4 days without seeing him which was a record. She survived. She also doesn’t acknowledge me when I show up at the house with Little Peter, it’s not just her though. They all go straight for the baby and don’t notice I’m there for a good half hour or so. Uncle Larry has been helping out this week by watching the Weiner Dogs while we ease into things. He’s still on break from school so I’m sure the Weiner Dogs have enjoyed staying up until 4am watching him play XBOX and eating his scraps from Taco Bell Chalupas and Ring Dings.
Little Peter also got to meet his Great Grandma Montour last weekend. Pretty cool having so many generations of the family in one room. Grandpa George thought he was cool too, I think mostly because it helped him get his mind of those Vikings.
This morning Peter decided he wanted to start the day at 5am. So it looks like he and Big Peter L. already have something in common. That’s fine with me, those two can hit the dock early in the morning on the weekends at the lake while I sleep in.
I took these photos last summer. My Dad drinks about a gallon of coffee on the dock before anyone else even wakes up. Nothing like the lake in the morning!
